NORTH OF OSLO

This tour takes us to the Romerike and Hedmark regions north of Oslo.

We drive through the fertile farmland of Romerike, and along the shores of Norway’s largest lake Mjøsa, to the town of Hamar. We make a short stop on the way at Gjerdrum secondary school (arch. Kristin Jarmund 2009), and at Eidsvoll manor, a national monument where the Norwegian Constitution was made in 1814.

Situated by lake Mjøsa, Hamar is the main town of Hedmark district. In recent years, it has become an important destination for architectural enthusiasts. We will visit::

Return to Oslo. If time allows, a short stop at Oslo Airport Gardermoen, arch. Aviaplan 1998, for a look at the main departure hall.
